Stubborn
Today, i feel like talking about one of the human characters i.e. stubborn. Stubborn means a person with fixed or set in purpose or opinion. Some of the synonyms to stubborn are contrary, intractable, refractory, unyielding, headstrong, obdurate and persevering.
In daily life we come across all kind of people with this kind of characters from kids to adults and even our wife, husband, mother, father or grand mothers and grand fathers. They won't change or move away from certain decision they have made. If they want something they will go all out to get it. Even if we try to explain that certain things are impossible, still they will pursue that they want it. More hurting us, is when they are in the wrong, they won't admit. Its like inborn in them, running in their bloodstream those kind of actions. Do they realize that they hurt other peoples' feelings. What does religion says about stubborness, surely religion discourages its ummah to be stubborn. are there stubborn person in your family of working place. How do you tackle them? Bagaimana anda menghadapi orang yang keras kepala?

Pelbagai Perasaan Manusia
Kenapa saya tulis pasal perasaan.
Think of GOD, God will eliminate all bad feelings in your heart. Always think of good things.
I pun bukan malaikat. I'm not an angel. Human being like everyone of you. I do make mistakes but no feelings of hatred. Sometimes, i'm angry but its because I want something good for others or the nation but something else was decided. Angry doesnt always should be related to negative attitude. If you scold somebody or angry with him/her may be in reality you want the person to improve or to be better.
Even when writing this entry my feelings is that i will be able to improve the feelings and attitude of some of the readers.

Another year older.......life has to go on.
Its end of the year..another three weeks to celebrate the new year. Time moves so fast. Feel like we just entered 2010, now 2010 is coming to end. Each and every one of us will have a story, whether a happy one or a sad one. Some may have lost the loved ones or a family member or even a close friend. Whatever happened, life has to go on. We have to take it has a lesson to improve or remind ourselves. Those who have lost the loved ones, its fate (God's willing).
What is more important is to plan for 2011 and years to come. What we wanna achieve next year and years to come. Time just runs. Time does not wait for us. We can rewind the clock but cannot rewind the time that has gone. Whatever that has passed will be in our memories whether good or bad.
Even 2011, will just pass by fast. It will be our turn to leave this world forever. Leaving behind the loved ones. Moving to another new 'world'. That's why, whatever short period we have left, make use of it the optimal manner possible. No point regretting when it's too late.

Same economic problems but different prescription
Some of the major concerns of economies in these region including Malaysia is the slowing down of the world economic growth. World trade is also moderating. This means lower demand for our exports.
Other concerns include:
Asset bubble - rising property and housing prices
increasing household debt
quantitative easing in US....
money flowing into Asian economies... huge capital inflows must be scrutinized closely
rising inflationary pressures
strengthening domestic currency
slowing exports
All these concerns not confined to Malaysia only but all the regional economies in East and South-east Asia. when I was in Xian, China these issues were discussed in detail. At one point time the world criticized Malaysia for its capital control measures. Now, countries are openly discussing, even the IMF, WBank and ADB are presenting papers on capital control as an instrument to safeguard the economy from outside speculation.
Having said that I'm not suggesting we should go into capital control or implement ringgit pegging. These measures were good at that point of time and not now. I don't understand why DR.M is criticizing the current Government. Dr.M's era is over, his policies maybe good (debatable) during his time and he maybe world class leader, but the situation is different now. His time is over and finished. He is out of touch and no more in the Government. He may read a lot and gather information from internet but he is not exposed to the reality of the world economy. The current economic environment is so dynamic and changes very fast compared to his time. The policy prescription will be different although the problems seems to be the same. Its like the same disease before but can't be cured today with the same medicine. The virus has mutated and new and stronger virus has emerged which requires different set of medicine.
The previous capital control and ringgit pegging may be good during Asian Financial crisis but we are not in a financial crisis. Asian financial and banking system remain sound and strong. Ringgit strengthening is not because of speculative activities but more because of a weaker US dollar. Of course, there is huge capital inflows into portfolio market. Translating short-term capital inflows into long-term capital or into real sectors of the economy would reduce the risk of capital out-flows.
Let us manage our economy properly and overcome all the obstacles towards achieving the status of a developed and high-income economy.
